DescriptionA man sits on a chair inside a sitting room or parlor looking at a newspaper which holds in both hands. He is wearing a shirt and necktie and has a pipe in his mouth. Throw pillows and a book are on a sofa or daybed at the right. One of the pillows says "Lake Placid" on it. A large lamp with a fringed lampshade is on a table at the left. Framed pictures and patterned wallpaper are on the walls.
