DescriptionBooks and a vase of flowers, apparently roses, are on a Chippendale desk in the middle of a large room with large windows looking out over trees. Bookcases filled with books line the walls. An oriental rug is on the floor. A framed print hangs on the wall over one of the bookcases, which has a framed silhouette and other small items on it. Two armchairs are at the right. What appears to be a kerosene lamp is on a small table. Pillows are piled on a broad windowseat at the window.
