DescriptionThe third floor porch of a tenement building probably located at 247 State Street in Hartford. A part of the fourth floor has collapsed onto the third floor porch. The building appears to still be occupied; laundry hangs from a clothes line. Connecticut Boulevard and the Bulkeley Bridge are partially visible in the background.
Object number1995.36.1493
NotesSubject Note: Evidently the same building that appears in 1995.36.1491 and 1995.36.1492. A 1917 Sanborn map suggests that 1995.36.1491 was probably taken from 247 State Street, a building owned by "Nicholas Pallotti Est[ate].". Nicholas, or Nicola Pallotti died on November 1, 1914. His partner, A. S. Andretta, died in 1929.
