DescriptionA Gothic style church building has pointed arches and a bell tower. A sign in front reads: "SUNDAY EVENING / THOU SHALT NOT / BEAR FALSE / WITNESS AGAINST / THY NEIGHBOR / DR. I. H. BERG / SPECIAL MEETING / FOR EVERYBODY / AT / HARTFORD THEATER / 12 TO 1 PM DAILY / JAN 8 TO 31" A second structure a two story Italianate-style stone building, is visible to the immediate south of the church building. This second building has the number 510 over its front entrance. Snow is on the ground.

NotesSubject Note: The Wethersfield Congregational Church was situated on Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford. The building was situated on the east side of Wethersfield Avenue.

Date Note: Dr. I.H. Berg, who is listed as the pastor on the sign in front of the church, left in 1917 to serve as an army chaplain in World War I. He did not return to the church until 1936, after the photographer's death.
