DescriptionA statue of a Civil War soldier is on a pedestal. It consists of a plinth, a dado of curved shape, and a figure holding the colors, with sophisticated classical revival moldings. A road and cemetery with an arched sign reading "Green Cemetery" are in the background. The inscription on the plinth reads "ERECTED IN MEMORY OF / CAPT. FREDERICK M. BARBER / AND THE SOLDIERS OF GLASTONBURY / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY, / BY MERCY TURNER BARBER. / 1913".
