DescriptionWaist length portrait of a young girl, standing and facing slightly to her right. She has a pale complxion with rosy cheeks, brown eyes, and red hair that is that is pulled back half way by a large pink bow while the rest is curled into ringlets just below shoulders. She wears a white dress with a lace trim and gigot sleeves. Portrait is set in a brass oval locket with a gold border around image and decoratively carved edges and suspension loop at top; on verso, a lock of red hair is framed under glass. Locket is set in a double hinged leather bound case that has a brass lock at center for closure and an adjustable stand in the back. Inside of case is lined with dark green velvet.
