DescriptionOil portrait of an elderly woman of rather florid complexion, with brown eyes and gray hair almost hidden by a full white ruffled cap with ends hanging on the shoulders. She wears a plain, full-skirted black dress with small self buttons down the front of the bodice, a white vestee and a black shawl over her shoulders. Her hands rest in her lap. The background is dull brown.
