DescriptionPortrait of Patrick Henry and probably James Clayton Woodward as children. James, the younger of the two, is on the left. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He is wearing a white shirt with a broad-pointed turnover collar edged with very narrow lace and held by a broad tie of dark striped ribbon. His full coat is bottle green with darker green satin revers and is hooked together down the front. He holds a dark semi-military cap in his left hand. Patrick has light brown hair and a light complexion, and is resting his right hand on James's right shoulder. He is wearing the same shirt and tie as James, a dark, full-skirted coat with five brass buttons, and white trousers. In the background, there is red draper in the right corner.
