NotesSubject Note: William T. Loomis was from Enfield, Connecticut, He enlisted on 20 July 1862 and was mustered in as a private in the Sixteenth Regiment Infantry Company D on 24 August 1862. He was promoted to Corporal on 5 September 1863. He was captured with the rest of his regiment on 20 April 1864 in Plymouth, North Carolina. He was paroled on 30 November 1864. He drowned on 24 April 1865 in the Potomac River. (Ruocco 5/10/12)
