(Finlay 4/22/2012)Subject Note: Horace Sickmund (or Sackmund) lived in Cornwall, Connecticut. He enlisted and was mustered in to the Second Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Heavy Artillery on December 29, 1863 as a private. He was wounded on June 1, 1864 in Cold Harbor, Virginia, and died on July, 14, 1864. (Ruocco, 04/24/12)
