He enlisted on October 10, 1861 and was mustered into the Eleventh Regiment Infantry, Company K on November 14, 1861 as a Sergeant. He was discharged on December 23, 1864 because his term had expired. He died in 1907 and is buried in Meriden, Connecticut.
