NotesJohn J. Devine of New Haven enlisted and was mustered in as a private in the Eighth Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. He was discharged on June 15 1862. On August 16 1862 he enlisted in the Fifteenth Connecticut Volunteer Infantry and was mustered in as a corporal on August 25. He was reduced to ranks and discharged on August 12 1863.
