DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a middle-aged man wearing a jacket, vest, shirt, and tie, seated in a carved and upholstered armchair. A coat-of-arms, consisting of two women flanking a shield with a rising sun on it and an eagle on top of it, is on the back of the chair. The man holds a sheet of paper. Drapery with a cord and tassle and the base of a column are in the background.
