DescriptionA political cartoon in which the North is represented by a bulldog wearing a cocked hat with a feather, epaulets and a collar, reading "OLD GENERAL U.S." The South is represented by a greyhound with its tail between it's legs, with a flag banner across its back and collar reading "JEFF". Between them is a big chunk of meat labeled "WASHINGTON & Prize Beef." Behind the bulldog on the right are barrels labeled "FLOUR" "CORN" "MESS / BEEF / Prime Q", sacks labeled "COFFEE" and "SALT", and a canon labeled "PEPPER". Other sacks labeled "$25000" and "2500000". Behind the greyhound a bale labeled "COTTON" is near a few bones. A palm tree is in the background.
