DescriptionQueen Victoria and her husband, Albert of Saxe-Coburg Gotha, hands joined, are being blessed at their marriage by a man in clerical robes who stands behind them. The wedding takes place in a church interior amongst a throng of richly dressed dignitaries. Onlookers are on balconies on either side. Many women wear plumed headdresses. Some men wear wigs. Two thrones and two large candle sticks are in the background. On the wall behind the gathering is a large medallion with the letters "IHS" printed in the center.
