NotesHistorical Note: The sign was on the G. Fox & Co. building on Main Street, Hartford, Connecticut until a fire destroyed the building in 1917. The sign was placed in a warehouse until it was found almost 50 years later. It was then mounted inside the new G. Fox & Co. building in 1964.Subject Terms
