DescriptionMid-size, hard-sided retail box for G. Fox department store made off-white paper printed with bronze metallic ink. Printed with images that represent Connecticut , including: the state flower, the mountain laurel, a map of the state with Hartford highlighted, the Charter Oak tree, an acorn, a church building, a schoolhouse, a bunch of grapes and a tobacco plant. This box would have been used as a hat box in the mid-20th century.
