DescriptionDrawings include plans for basement, first floor, plot, foundation, second floor, roof, vapor heating and elevations of front, side, rear, front of altar.. Also, a cross section and detail of mullion window frames, door sill, moulded panels, chapel pews, window frames, stone details. Plans include school location, new convent location, laundry, boiler room, general store room, vegetables, club storage, kitchen, refectory, community room, veranda, chapel, office, music room and sister's room. Elevations show seven bay, three story building with flat roof. There are six over one double hung sash windows with pointed arched molding. The building facing is pressed brick with a limestone cornice and quatrefoil molding. It also has an arched portico.

InscribedOn recto, lower right, in pencil; "CONVENT BUILDING FOR / ST. JOHN'S R.C. CHURCH CORP. / NEW HAVEN CONN / REV. F.M. MURRAY, PASTOR". On facade, in pencil; "St. John's Convent". Numerous inscriptions identify parts of buildings, locations, etc.NotesHistorical Note: As of January 2009, it was unknown if the building was still standing.
