DescriptionRound, white metal medal commemorating the centennial of G. Fox & Co.; the medal hangs from a metal ring attached to a rectangular bar, which reads: "100 Years"; a clasp is soldered to the bar allowing the medal to be pinned to a lapel and worn. Images of the original 18th century G. Fox department store superimposed in front of the modern twentieth century G. Fox and Co. building and parking garage occupy the central portion of the medallion bordered on either side and below with Connecticut grape vines. The slogan, "A CENTURY OF CONNECTICUT LIVING" runs along the top portion of the medal, while "G. Fox 1847 - 1947" runs under central images.

MarkingsAll markings are done in relief: "100 YEARS" is inscribed into the rectangular shaped piece; the circular part of the pin reads, "A Century of Connecticut Living / 1847- 1947 G. Fox & Co."; the verso of the circular part of the pin is marked by the maker, "Peters Co. / Boston".
