DescriptionThe guards and sticks are bone, carved with panels of fine, vertical piercing and abstract foliate designs. The leaf on the front is a pale coral silk brocade in a pattern of flowers and fern fronds. The reverse of the leaf is plain, ecru silk, painted with a design of forget-me-nots and the interlaced initials "TSE". Mother of pearl washers and metal loop (missing its tassle).
