Description(.1) Man's bi-fold wallet in black leather with 14 karat gold tips and a gold medallion applied to the center of the front monogrammed "LF" for Lewis Fox. The wallet is divided into compartments on the left to hold a rail pass and driver's license and a full length compartment accomodates dollar bills. On the right side a small compartment closes with a leather tap and is designed to hold coins.
(.2a,b) The original box is made of cardboard with a removable lid.

(.2a) Marked on box lid in copper foil paper: "B" [ or is it two triangles?]
Inscribed(.1) Monogrammed on metal medallion applied to front of wallet: "LF";
Stamped in gold metallic ink on inside of wallet: "LEWIS FOX".

(.2a) Inscribed on inside of box lid in blue ink: "Happy birthday. 1934. / to my beloved / Lewis / [Maimchen]".

Folded note included in wallet written in blue ink on ecru paper reads on recto: "A bright + happy / birthday / to my darling / Lewis / Lovingly + devotedly / [Maimchen]" and on the verso, "July 20 / 1904 / July 20 / 1934."
