DescriptionVery fine, soft deerskin leather infant moccasins. The bottom and sides are cut in one piece, and are gathered at the toe to the top U-shaped panel. This seam is covered by a blanket stitched worked in variegated orange/brown silk embroidery thread. The top panel is embroidered around the edge with a featherstitch in this same thread. The moccasins are seamed at the center back. The throatline is punched for a fine leather thong to be laced through, so that the moccasins are tied onto the baby's foot.
