MarkingsOn the sole of the shoe, raised blue letters read, "AVIA®". Raised white letters read, "PAT. NO. / 4372058 / 4449307".

"AVIA" is printed in raised blue letters on the heel and in silver letters on the left side of the shoe.

A silver cloth tage with white lettering is stitched to the tongue. On the exterior of the shoe, the tag reads, "Tennis / 745 / AVIA". On the interior, copyright information is printed on the tag, followed by, "MADE IN TAIWAN R.O.C."
NotesHistorical Note: Barbara Potter graduated from the Taft School in January 1979. She was accepted at Princeton University, but joined the Women's Tennis Tour in 1979. She won seven singles championships, including the U.S. Indoors, Virginia Slims, and Avon titles. She was a singles semi-finalist at the United States Open and at the Virginia Slims Masters, and she was a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon in 1982, 1983, and 1985. Barbara Potter won eighteen major doubles titles with five different partners. She was a member of the United States Federation Cup in 1988. Barbara Potter retired from tennis in 1989.
