BiographyClaire S. Alexander (1876-30 September 1963) was the daughter of Benjamin Alexander and his second wife Sarah Blackburn Nixon. Her brother was Burchard B. Alexander (born 1878) and her half-sister was Mary Alexander (born 1863) who was the daughter of Benjamin's first wife, Eliza Jane Nixon (who was also the aunt of Claire's mother). Claire graduated from Ricker in 1894 and married Wendell C. Boyd in 1896. They had one daughter named Janice Boyd (4 March 1900-18 November 1974). Janice Boyd never married.
