BiographyJohn Boyd was born 15 September 1818. He was the son of Abigail Chamberlain Boyd (1778-1859) and Gilbert Boyd (1791-1832) of Amenia, New York. He had one sister, Elizabeth R. Boyd (1816-1838). John Boyd married Charlotte M. Lambert (1823-1891) on 4 October 1849. They had one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth (1850-1891). The Boyds lived in Sharon, Connecticut; they are listed on the census there in 1860,1870, and 1880. John Boyd died 4 October 1890. All three members of the John Boyd family are buried in Sharon, Connecticut.
