Herbert T. Clark

BiographyHerbert T. Clark was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut about 1878. He was a descendant of John Hollister, one of Glastonbury's earliest settlers, and he lived in Glastobury all his life, serving in various town offices for a total of fifty-five years. He helped organize the South Glastonbury Fire Department and served as assistant fire chief; he was also president of the Chamber of Commerce; and Glastonbury's "unofficial historian." He played a prominent role on the Glastonbury Tercentenary Committee in 1935.
