Charles William Eldridge

BiographyCharles William Eldridge was born in New London, Connecticut in 1811, the son of William Eldridge (b. 1769) and Eliza Avery (1771-1816). He married Frances E. Parker. Eldridge relocated from New London to Tolland to study painting under miniaturist Thomas H. Parker of Hartford. According to his granddaughter, Charles William Eldridge was a portrait painter who traveled widely while in that business. He retired to 24 Buckingham Street, Hartford, Connecticut.
