Jonathan Walkley

BiographyJonathan Walkley lived in Durham, Connecticut. He married Ann Bates (1744-1809) in Durham on 17 September 1767; they had six daughters and one son. Shortly before 1787, Jonathan Walkley moved the family to Granville, Massachusetts. They remained there until he purchased land in Southington, Connecticut, on 4 April 1791. In 1794, Jonathan Walkley sold his land and acquired a nearby farm in the South End of Southington, where he remained for the rest of his life. His son, Stephen, built a house for the whole family on that land in 1808. In 1809, Ann Bates Walkley died. Jonathan Walkley died 4 April 1819.
