BiographySterling China Company is a large modern maker of hotel and resturant dinnerware. Sterling had the first dipping machine in the hotel china industry, according to company history. They also started "inlay" patterns in the hotel ware industry, where colored clay was applied to a piece of clayware and a bond created between the two pieces. They had offices in East Liverpool and Ohio, and a factory in Wellsville, Ohio.
