BiographyElizabeth Pease Norton was born 17 February 1826, the daughter of Mindwell Pease Norton and Daniel W. Norton of Suffield, Connecticut. She married Calvin Wheeler Philleo (d. 1858) on 7 November 1849. They had no children. Her husband was the son of Reverend Calvin Philleo, whose second wife was the famous Prudence Crandall. Calvin Wheeler Philleo died 30 June 1858, and Elizabeth remained a widow for the rest of her life. She died 4 March 1885.
