Oliver Pomeroy

BiographyLieutenant Oliver Pomeroy was born in 1729, the son of Captain John and Rachel Sheldon Pomeroy of Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1750 in Wethersfield, Connecticut, he married Mary Lyman (1729-1776), also of Northampton, Massachusetts. He became a prosperous merchant, owning and operating a wharf on the Connecticut River. He died in 1776.
