Mary Skilton Clark

BiographyMary Augusta (Skilton) Clark was born on 14 November 1823 in Watertown, Connecticut. She was the daughter of James Skilton (1777-1848) and Chloe Steele (1780-1867). She had at least two siblings: George Frederick Skilton (1820-1895) and Samuel William Southmayd Skilton (1814-1894).
She married Merritt Clark (1818-1894) in 1848. They had four children: Marion Adela Clark (1850-1904), Catherine Colette Clark Payne (1853-1875), Halsey Steel Clark (1855-1941), and Lavergne Grant Clark (1862-1945). The family lived in Prospect, Connecticut.
She died on 26 August 1901.
