BiographyHalsey Steel Clark was born on 1 January 1855 in Prospect, Connecticut. He was the son of Merritt Clark (1818-1894) and Mary Augusta Skilton (1823-1901). He had three siblings: Marion Adela Clark (1850-1904), Catherine Colette Clark Payne (1853-1875), and Lavergne Grant Clark (1862-1945).
He married Fannie Moulton Phipps (1852-1937). The had one son, Clifford Phipps Clark (1883-1969).
He died in 1941 in Prospect, Connecticut.
