Katharine Bingham Clark

BiographyKatharine Louise (Bingham) Clark was born on 21 April 1866 in Port Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was the daughter of William Edwin Bingham (1832-1898) and Anna Elizabeth Gilbert (1831-1921). She had three siblings: William Theodore Bingham (1861-1929), Alice Belle Bingham Blackwell (1869-1966), and Ella Elizabeth Bingham (1872-1873).
She graduated from Northfield Seminary in 1886. She taught school in Lewes, Delaware before marrying.
She married Lavergne Grant Clark (1862-1945) on 24 August 1895. They had four children: Adella Elizabeth Clark Williamson (1897-1990), Merritt Clark (1898-1898), Gould Clark (1900-1985), and Sylvia Grace Clark (1902-2000).
She died in 1960 in Prospect, Connecticut.
