Caroline Parker Smith

BiographyCaroline Parker Smith was an artist, author, and poet. She was born on June 29, 1897. She is the daughter of John Dwight Parker (1850-1919) and Caroline Anna Goodwin (1859-1937). She had three sisters: May Clement Parker Reed (1881-1961), Helen Parker Wayne (1883-1980), and Katharine Goodwin Parker Cheney (1890-1973).

She married Walton Hall Smith on November 19, 1916 in Port Chester, New York. From April 1924-1925, Caroline and Walton traveled in the Congo region of Africa. They divorced on April 23, 1926.

Caroline Parker Smith lived in Paris, France from 1927-1928.

She married Thomas Caldecot Chubb (1899-1972) on June 22, 1929 in Saybrook, Connecticut. They divorced in June 1938.

She died on September 12, 1938 in Hartford, Connecticut.
