Oliver DeWitt Seymour

American, born ca. 1817
BiographyOliver D. Seymour was born about 1817 in hartford, Connectiut, the son of Moses Seymour and Abigail Hart. He was a partner from 1843 to 1846 with Julius Hollister in Hartford as Seymour & Hollister and worked from 1846 to 1854 as a silversmith in Hartford employing 12 to 15 individuals. From 1854 to 1856 he again partnered, with Clark Lindsley as Seymour & Lindlsey. He appears to have left silversmithing after that date and tried his hand at real estate.
