BiographyAccording to museum records, Richard Campbell was born in Ireland, later moving to England where he worked as a saddler and hardware manufacturer. He later came to the United States, where he served through the Civil War with the 3rd New York Volunteers, holding the rank of Sergeant. He stood in high masonry, and at one time was head of the order in New York State.
