DescriptionRound, shallow ashtray or pin tray of blue and white porcelain bearing the seal of the Connecticut College for Women. The tray consists of a solid blue porcelain base with raised white porcelain motifs. The seal consists of a shield, with a raised white porcelain tree, two open books, and the date "1911" inside. This is surrounded by an area of blue porcelain, then a raised white border with the words "CONNECTICUT COLLEGE FOR WOMEN" and "NEW LONDON" inside. This is surrounded by the blue porcelain that forms the rest of the tray. The porcelain curves upward to form a shallow rim. There are light scratches on the bottom of the tray and the inscribed name "F. RANKIN".
