DescriptionSquare, white, earthenware tile with a transfer-printed blue enamel advertisement. The tile states "THE HARTFORD/ FAIENCE COMPANY/ (ELECTRICAL/ PORCELAIN/ SPECIALTIES)/ 271 HAMILTON ST/ HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT/ 06106/ TEL. (203) 429-8551". An image of two electrical porcelain products can be found on the tile, one on either side of the words. The back of the tile is lined with cork, and the sides of the tile are lined with narrow sheets of brass. In the upper right corner of the tile is a cast brass device intended to hold the tip of a pen in a veritcal position.
The brass is slightly tarnished in the lower left and upper right corners.
