DescriptionRound, shallow ashtray or pin tray of blue and white porcelain bearing the seal of Yale University. The tray consists of a solid blue porcelain base with raised white porcelain motifs. The seal consists of a white open book superimposed over a shield. Unknown Hebrew words are impressed on the book, while the latin words "LUX ET VERITAS" surround the shield in raised blue letters. The shield and words are surrounded by a white border with the words, "SIGILL : COLL : YALEN : NOV : PORT : NOV : ANGL". This is surrounded by the blue porcelain that forms the rest of the tray. The porcelain curves upward to form a shallow rim. There are light scratches on the bottom of the tray.
