DescriptionView of three generations of Cheneys on the porch of a building in Ogunquit, Maine. Harriet Kingsbury Richmond Cheney (1823-1900) is seated in a chair in the middle of the group. Her grandson, George Wells Cheney (1888-1965) is on her left, half-sitting on the arm of the chair. The couple standing behind the chair are Harriet's son, George Herbert Cheney (1861-1929) and his wife, Isabel Bartlett (1868-1938). Isabel and Herbert are GW's aunt and uncle.

The photograph is mounted on a piece of cardstock. The edges of the mount are beveled and gilded.

Harriet Kingsbury Richmond married George Wells Cheney (1825-1893). They had three sons, Wells Wadsworth, Louis Richmond, and George Herbert. Wells married Lucy Compton Street and had George Wells Cheney (1888-1965).
