Eliza is on the right, seated on top of a covered table or other piece of furniture. There is a stack of pillows behind her. She is wearing a white dress and booties, and is looking directly at the camera. Mollie is on the left, leaning on the table with her right arm and looking at Eliza. She is holding a rattle or some other toy in her right hand, and there is a ring on the ring finger of that hand. Mollie is wearing a dark colored dress with leg o' mutton sleeves. Her hair is pulled into a knot at the top of her head.
