DescriptionHead and shoulders length portrait of Ruth Cheney as a young woman. She is wearing a dress or blouse that has a high standing collar with a folded-over decorative edge and puffed sleeves. She is also wearing a large silk bow at her neck. Ruth's hair is pulled up from the temples in a Gibson-style updo. There appears to be a small bow tied at the back of her neck. The photograph is cut in an oval shape and mounted on a piece of cardstock. There is a simple decorative border embossed in the cardstock around the image.
