DescriptionWoman's hat of black felt with velvet texture, in a form similar to a cloche, with a flared brim that is turned back at the front. The crown is fan-pleated at center front behind the turned-back brim. A separate flap falls over the brim in the back. The brim is given a diagonal pinch to the proper right of the center front. Around the inside of the crown is stitched a black grosgrain ribbon. Stitched on this ribbon are two labels: "G. FOX & CO. / EST. 1847 HARTFORD" and "Agnes / Rue St Floren [Illegible] / PARIS."
