DescriptionWoman's hat of gray felt. It has a domed crown and a brim made of two differently sized, lapped semicircles of the felt. The brim is sloped from the crown, and is deepest in front. On the proper right side, the brim curves up to the crown. Inside, the crown extends in two stiff points on the propers left side below the brim. This edge is stitched with a gray grosgrain ribbon. Two woven tape labels are stitched to this ribbon: "Emme" and "G. FOX & CO. INC / HARTFORD - CONNECTICUT / Serving Connecticut Since 1847."
