DescriptionWoman's hat styled exactly like a man's red and black wool plaid hunting hat, except that a black grosgrain ribbon bow is stitched at the center front. The hat crown slopes down towards the front, which has a stiff bill. A neck and ear flap bound with black grosgrain ribbon can be tucked up inside the crown if not needed. It ties with black grosgrain ribbons stitched to the front corners of the flap. The crown is lined with quilted black rayon. A woven tape label is stitched to the inside top of the crown: "G. FOX & CO. / HARTFORD CONNECTICUT."
