DescriptionWoman's hat of navy blue velvet, formed in a very shallow round crown with a stiff self-fabric bow extending below the front edge. The ends of the bow are ornamented with a triangle of clear and blue rhinestones. A similar ornament appears in the center of the crown. A dark blue net covers the front and would be pulled down over the face. The hat is lined with purple-blue rayon. A larger woven label is stitched to the grosgrain ribbon which edges the inside of the hat: "Pinehurst / FIFTH AVENUE / NEW YORK / MADE EXPRESSLY FOR / G. FOX & CO. / HARTFORD."
