DescriptionGirl's "habit-shirt" or "chemisette," for wearing with a riding habit. The shirt front and back are entirely covered with vertical tucks. The square-cornered, turn-down collar is 1 3/4 inches wide at the front. The shoulderline is slightly dropped, and the armscye is piped. The long sleeves are lightly gathered into the armscye and into the 3 5/8-inch-wide cuff. The cuff fastens near the sleeve seam with a button (now missing) and with studs, as indicated by opposing buttonholes along the outer edge. The shirt opening extends for the length of the center front and fastens with six small thread-covered buttons and a drawstring around the waist. The shirt is not lined. The side seams are vented up to the waistline drawstring casing, 1 1/2 inches from the bottom edge.
