DescriptionA young man and a young woman stand in the interior of a room. The woman wears a wedding gown with a rose and a ribbon attached to a wide lace collar or bertha. Her jewelry includes drop earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Her veil is attached to a headband trimmed with roses. She holds a handkerchief and a nosegay in her right hand and a fan in her left hand. The man has a beard and wears a coat, vest, shirt, tie, and trousers. He also wears a watch chain and a boutonniere. A bouquet of flowers, including roses and tulips, is in a vase on a table covered with a fringed tablecloth. Candles are in a sconce on the wall. Patterned wallpaper is on the wall; a patterned carpet is on the floor. Drapery is tied back with cords, revealing another large room in the left background where additional men and women are dancing. Framed paintings are on the walls. A chandelier hangs from the ceiling. The image has an arched top, with designs in the corners.
