DescriptionA crowd of men, women, and children stands on snow-covered lawn or field. All wear winter clothing, including hats, caps, jackets, scarves, and coats. One woman is waring a fur coat. An automobile and a truck belonging to the Silver Lane Pickle Company are in the background. Houses, a barn, and leafless trees are in the distance. A helicopter with the lettering "G. FOX-100" is overhead.
NotesSubject Note: As part of the celebration of its one hundredth anniversary in 1947, G. Fox offered helicopter delivery to its customers in sixty-six towns scattered throughout the state. This photograph accompanied an article published in the Hartford Courant on January 5, 1947. The article does not identify the specific location, but the presence of Silver Lane Pickle Company vehicles suggests that it was near Silver Lane.
